About the case

For Spotify’s 2025 Wrapped, Plan8 created the full audio experience — spanning original music, sound design, and implementation across the product.

Built in close collaboration with Spotify and long-time partner Active Theory, the project continues a multi-year effort to evolve Wrapped into a more immersive and interactive format.

Our focus was to make sound an integral part of the storytelling. A flexible sonic system was developed to support a wide range of personalized moments — guiding users through their journey while adding rhythm, clarity, and emotional weight.

From subtle UI feedback to more expressive musical sequences, the audio enhances both flow and engagement, helping turn individual listening data into a cohesive, living experience

Spotify album

Following launch, parts of the music quickly gained traction and spread organically across social platforms. Due to popular demand, we released an official album on Spotify featuring the original music from the experience — allowing listeners to revisit and share the sound of Wrapped beyond the product.
