Zettle Payment Terminal is an all-in-one touchscreen payment terminal for on-the-spot sales. The purpose with using UX sounds in this device was rooted in both utility and brand objectives. The sounds provide feedback on user’s action or system status, as well as create personality and brand identification.

Together with the client, we identified twelve interactions when the UX would benefit from having sound. Some of these interactions rely completely on audio feedback, while others generate sound to notify the user or to clarify information provided on the screen.
